Forgive me if I seem bitter; a week and a half into the EFA season and Im
nearly out of contention already. Be that as it may, I wanted to point out
something:
Long Ball is WAY to powerful. You pretty much cannot win, unless you play Long
Ball. I set my team up this season to control the ball and work it carefully up
the field; what a waste of time. Today against Bradford, as soon as I got
behind and switched to Long Ball, I scored almost at will.
This is three seasons in a row I tried to play something other then Long Ball,
and I have now concluded any other ball movement setting is USELESS.
Nothing wrong with Long Ball, but the game would be more fun if there was MORE
THEN ONE WAY to play . . .

I won the last two seasons with Long Ball, mostly because that was what my team
played in the Navy so I was familiar with it.
this season, I thought I had created an excellent Long Ball team and they
are struggling as opposed to my past two.
I know in seasons past Quebec did not play Long Ball, and what is Washington
playing??
I can also say Battle Creek played some "very patient" offense today and
had the ridiculious box score of
Battle Creek
4 fouls
Kabul
24 Fouls
5 Yellow Cards
1 Red Card
1 Penalty Kick Goal
2 Injuries
so I wouldn't say you can't win without other stratagies yet-
(Besides, "Free Man Defense" needs to be fixed before anything else- that in my
opinion really hurts the game- I refuse to play it out of principal)

Please ignore most of my above post; I need something to stop me from posting
messages when my Ritalin has worn off :-p (not kidding!)
After more judicious review, I can now see the problem is not Long Ball in this
case, but penaltys. 7 games into the season, and Ive lost 2 games due to
penalty kicks! Which is annoying, but I can at least tolerate that.
