How much do you care about D for your defensemen on power play lines?
I know that you can use a 2nd center or something as one of your D-men for "the
point", but I'm wondering if people think at all about shorthanded goals going
the other way on them.

I have used a center on the point for years now and I have never noticed an
increase in shorthanded goals.

I expect you CAN use a forward on defense on the power play, but they would
play at more of a penalty than the center would. I've used centers on the
point in the past, including earlier this season. While I'm concerned about
shorthanded goals, I wonder more about whether the center can provide more
offense than the D-man would.
