Another new face here.Havn't figured out half of the controls and options
yet.My question is if I minimize my hands on control for a while which facets
of the game needs most input.

Depends upon what point in the season your're at. If it is the off-season, I'd
suggest taking a hands-on approach until you get your roster in order. If it
is mid-season, you can observe how your team is performing under the generic
line settings before tinkering. In either case, read the help pages to get up
to speed. Also, I'd suggest turning off the auto-coaching options. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice.Dont know yet how long a season is or how long it takes
to get through one but I am sitting at 5 and 7 and have 2 games under my belt.I
will coach for a while and leave the gm duties to the computer.Hope I can
absorb enough stratagy to keep me in the game but the idea of building a team
over a few yrs is why I joined. One more question If I go over budget on the
yr.,does that carry over or just affect the current season?

I kept the auto coaching on in the minors, because A) I don't care B) I wanted
to see what the computer would do.
I'm new too, but old at DEL.
I always recommend looking at the top few teams and there players in any DEL
game.
It's not a bible, sometimes you can find a niche doing the opposite, but
it's still good for understanding the game.
