I'm new so excuse the basics.
I realize the roster is 25, with 3 goalies.
So between 3 lines and golies thats 18.
as for the other 7 guys, can they be worked into various lines like PK, or PP..
or is something different done if they are listed as a sub

There can only be 18 skaters on your 'main' lines, which includes PP and PK.
The extra skaters can be listed as reserves on any line. The goalies do not
count towards the 18 skaters limit.
If you put more than 18 skaters on the active lines (easy to do by accident),
it will auto-correct it somehow and show you a message to that effect -- I
usually click the 'back' button to figure it out myself.

Yeah, be careful when you change your lines around. Especially when you do a
LOT of changing. If you get the 'too many players' message and you don't go
back to correct it, you'll lose ALL the work you just did and you may have had
only one player out of place somewhere. Easier to do minor changes at a time
instead of wholesale changes where it is easy to make a mistake and lose all
your hard work (and time).

I use the formatted command interface a lot for lines. I can pull all of my
lines into an editor and do find and replace all commands fairly easily.
