Ok....first I had the dreaded "getting outshot 5 billion to 1" problem. I fixed
that. My team gets outshot quite a bit, but now it's usually by 10 shots or
less. I'm ok with that, as I understand my team (ECHL Holy Cross) isn't all
that great.
But I noticed that even getting 20+ shots, we're often only getting a goal or
two. So looking at the PBP's I've noticed that the overwhelming majority of my
teams shots are coming from the points. It seems like the only time we get a
shot from the side or the slot is when someone picks up a rebound
from....that's right, a shot from the point.
My team isn't going to score more goals when the centers and wings are hanging
around the points taking pot-shots at the net. So, how do I move the offense
down to the net? I've upped the offensive-zone passing for my lines, but they
just seem to pass more around the points.

Offhand I don't know if we can control whether players shoot from the point or
not, only which players are more likely to shoot based on the 'shooter'
specialist setting. It already looks like you are getting the vast majority of
shots from your forwards/centers, so that isn't a problem.
Have you tried boosting your training settings for shooting? If you
consistently get a lower shooting percentage than your opponents, this might
help.
