Hi. Can anyone tell me if actual playing time in the majors
helps players increase any faster than either playing in the
minors or playing on the 4th line.
My situation in Dartmouth is I have two young players who
could either play on the 1st line in the minors this year
or play on the 4th line in the majors.
Any idea if it matters in the least for player development?

It has long been debated which situation is better. I don't recall what the
correct answer is but I always assume that being in the majors is better than
playing starter minutes in the minors. However I would probably be in the
minority.

Matt,
Seems crystal clear. A related question, do you know if
there is any 'penalty' for moving guys between minors-majors.
Just wondering if there is a 'confifence' factor, or team
unity factor.
Cheers

Dick,
Feel free to move them as many times as you would like, to my knowledge there
are no consequences to moving a player up and down for any reason.

No diff for training speed between majors and minors.
Andy has removed all in season training.
