Hi,
I've looked through the archive but do not see any explicit reference to
whether age and season playing time have any
impact on fatigue or performcance.

I have a very old defensive unit and they seem to be
under performing, both points and LP%, as the HEL season
winds down. Perhaps its only a coincidence.

Does anyone know for sure if 40+ players are not as efficient
at the end of the season as the beginning?

If not, then I suppose there is no point in resting players
down the stretch other then to avoid injury.

Thanks
Cory 'Dartmouth coach'

I don't recall that there is any age effect or late-season effect. You can sit
people to limit the risk of injuries. The only other thing to watch are rest
levels -- if certain lines are used more than others, then players can become
fatigued (if they are fatigued, then they will play somewhat less effectively).
