how much importance do you put on this attribute?

Well, first off, I look for a good In in every player because without it, any
skill is significantly less useful... You'll see why I point that out in
minute when I try and explain my thinking on Ag.
For two types of players (or rather roles), I value it highly: forecheckers
and physical d-men. When I want a player going into the corners, either to
disrupt the opposite team from clearing the puck or too take the puck away in
the defensive zone, I want an aggressive player. The reason I need In there is
that I don't want a forechecker flying in and missing the check or doing that
when it's a line change and it turns into an odd-man rush against me.
Similarly, when going deep into my own zone, I don't want the d-man to leave a
player coming down the slot to pursue the puck in the corner, leaving the slot
skater with a point-blank chance. And obviously (well, in mind obvious, in DEL
undetermined), a high Ag, low In guy will be nothing more than a PIM generator.
How well it works, I have no idea. I bombed recruiting last season but brought
in a good class, had a good tc so hopefully I can accurately evaluate my
theories with a team that's close in talent to my conference foes.

Yeah, I concur with the Ag/In dynamic at least in terms of penalties. I have
no idea if the forecheck/odd-man-rush dynamic happens, but will be interested
to find out.
