Dolphin sports and hyborian war take up my time!

I just started playing WhatIfSports college basketball similar to Dolphin but
recuriting is a little more involved as well as practices it is more expensive
but you can earn credits if u do well. Also you have to start at DIII and
apply for jobs based on your suuceuss. Kinda interesting as far as recuriting
goes as you have a budget based on your open schollies and decide where you
want to spend your money. Also they have postseason tourneys in all 3
divisions.

If the question is related to online games, it's DEL and High Descent for me.
And, thanks to Serge for mentioning High Descent on another thread here. A
very fun and slightly addictive game.

Ok, I can't be the only person here addicted to World of Warcraft.

When I still had high-speed internet (sniff, sniff) I was into Guild Wars for
awhile, also City of Heroes. Dolphinsim is the extent of my 'computer gaming'
right now.
Mostly I play real-life card games with friends (low-stakes poker, as well as
pitch, spades, bridge, a variation of canasta called 'hands and feet', and a
few others). I'm currently trying to devise a card game conceptually based on
football.

I gave up World of Warcraft for Everquest II, a little more hardcore PvP...
but lately, I've told myself I need to get my affairs in order this summer
and can't play until I do.

I must admit, I have an addictive personality when it comes to games like
Starcraft and the World of Warcraft. I figured it best to never play World of
Warcraft, so I haven't. I am sure I would be addicted if I did try it.
My bro is totally hooked by World of Warcraft. He was logging 40 hours a week
on it for a while. I got so fed up that I actually put his CD in the microwave.
2 seconds on high was all it took.

take your advice and just put the CD in!

Silly Kevin, you've got to chop of his arms and legs first if you want to get
him in the microwave.

Or get him wet and shove him in the dryer. THEN, once he's shrunk, you can put
him in the microwave.

- that works if you ever need to float a check too. A few seconds can wipe out
the magnetic strip. Sometimes buys an extra day or two...... not that I would
know.

I first became addicted to MMO's back in 1997. I was addicted to EQ Beta, then
EQ, then DAoC, then Asheron's Call, then EVE-Online, then Star Wars Galaxies,
then EQ2, then WoW... I last played an MMO about 6 weeks before my son was
born. That was 11 months ago. ;)
I still like dabbling in single player RPGs like Morrowind and Oblivion. If
you haven't played Oblivion yet, you are missing out on some incredible stuff.
I was playing WhatIfSports gridiron up until last week when my 5 pack + 3 extra
seasons of football ran out. I never got past DII. And trust me I was trying
pretty hard. That's just a boat-load of money to be spending on that type of
online game. It's a little flashier, but in a lot of ways, I like DEL much
better.
I'm waiting on NFL Head Coach for PS2 to come out... *drool* I hope i'm not
too disappointed. ;)

Todd, how much is WhatIf?
The demo says it's 6.95 for the first season.
How much is it after that, how long does a season last, etc.?
It's definitely intriguing, though it does seem pretty complex.
Date: Tue Jun 20 18:43:46 2006
Sender: Todd E Jones
Eric after the first season it is $11.95 for a single season and a discounted
rate if you buy multiple seasons. You also earn credits based on how well your
team does and you can earn credits for refering people. They play 1 game a day
including weekends except for the Tark world which is 2 games a day.
Recuriting lasts 5 days and then the tourney at the end of the season.

WhatIfSports has a pretty decent Nascar sim called Clutch Racing Dynasty. In
fact it's the only site I'm aware of that has a Nascar sim. For any of you who
are racing fans it's well worth a trial season. Plus they're continually
improving it.
I tried the college football and hoops too, but at $11.95 per season it's just
not worth it. The recruiting is pretty fun, but I think more so just because
there are actual faces, personal information and responses from each recruit.
For game play I think the DEL sims win out.
If there was ever any way that we could add that appearance factor of animated
faces, high schools, ht, wt, and so on to DEL that would just be the bomb. I've
tried to lure guys over to DEL from there only to have them come back saying
that our site sucks, without giving the sims a chance. There's no doubt in my
mind that we could grab a lot more customers by having an appealing interface.
