Hi Everyone,

Concidering that both soccer leagues are now full, and the waiting list has
plenty of people, a new soccer leagues has been created: International Cyber
Soccer Association (ICSA).

Going along with the other new leagues, the ICSA will only accept coach with
less than 3 seasons experience.

If you have a demo season, or concidered many times joining the soccer sim, now
is your chance. The season season initializion is on Monday.

This is a great opportunity to join a league where everyone start from scratch,
and everyone will have the same chance of winning. Also, it's a great way to
learn the soccer sim concering that you won't have to worry about competing
with veteran coaches and well established teams.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me:
dolphinsim@hotmail.com

Looking forward to seeing many of you join the league.

I don't know anything about soccer.
In other words, sounds good, lol.
My goal is to win a match.

Ryan-

Lack of soccer knowledge is NO handicap! I had VERY limited knowledge of the
game, and won the EFA championship in my third season . . .

Is soccer still just the 20 teams, or did they re-instate the juniors?

Sender: Karim Cheaib

No, it's still the 20 teams, it's better that way, cos people wont stay if they
are in the lower division

I signed up for a team today...still can't believe it. Soccer is the only major
team sport that I'm completely ignorant of. I have caught a little English
Premier League action on FSC network late at night when nothing else is on.

New league...thought I'd give it a try. I'll be the league doormat, but what
the heck. I'm pretty familiar with college basketball, and I couldn't possibly
do much worse than I am right now, so this may be my thing.

One thing I'm wondering from watching the Premier League games:

What the heck are those fans chanting?

I've been wondering the same thing, lol.
I think the door mat is mine!
I know what the goal keeper does and well... that's about it.

I consider myself a fairly strong soccer fan for an American (I was one of the
few who actually saw the Portugal game from the beginning in the last World
Cup).

But as far as DEL strategy, I'm hopeless. I have no clue what I'm doing.

The USA verses Portugal was the first soccer game I ever watched from start to
finish and I enjoyed it a lot.

Hello
Haha and thats why you signed five of them? Remember only one goalkeeper can
defend the own goal. You cant do it with 5 man on the line ;-)
bye MJ

Exactly MJ, I was thinking that this morning, lol.
I signed to menimum contracts and set too high of a max just in case I didn't
sign a KG sense my teaam only had ff gks
Needless to say, I need to make some cuts.

Well I can see that you haven't lost your ways of offering generous contracts
to players lol

In case you haven't noticed...
The mechanics in soccer are similar to basketball or hockey.

On offense, decide what method of attack you will use to get the ball upfield
then get the guys to do it.

on defense, I think the traits of a good defender are sort of obvious, but I
look for defenders who can contribute to my offensive scheme.

Ok... I need to be talked into this. I *want* to join, but quite honestly, the
pro salary structure isn't my forte. I don't want to be overwhelmed by it and
lose interest.

I'm a soccer/football fan. I've been to several games while in Poland, with
the highlight being Legia Warszawa v Barcelona in the UEFA Cup. Kluivert was
very impressive, by the way. I also had SKY satellite, and regularly had folks
over for different English Premiership games. I'm a big Blackburn fan, mainly
because of Brad Friedel. So, questions...

Is there a draft like MLS, or do you sign and sell players like the rest of the
world? Can anyone offer some sage advice on finances to help sway me into
joining?

Date: Mon May 8 14:00:32 2006
Sender: Red Burley

No draft, you get players added to fill your roster at season init-similar to
walk-ons in college games.

As far as finances, Im far from the one to give advice :-p

"Legia Warszawa v Barcelona in the UEFA Cup"

It was the 3rd round of the Champions League, not the UEFA Cup (the last round
before the group stage).

Konrad... maybe so... it was in 2002, I believe. Might have been 2003, but I
honestly don't remember. I still have the Legia hat, though.

Speaking of Barcelona. I feel very sorry for Arsenal. I rooted for them. But
these 3 minutes were devastating. And Larsson's first touch was absolutely
first class.

You people do know that soccer is gay. Keffe told me so.

That's his wishful thinking.

Date: Thu May 18 13:25:23 2006

That was a horrible break early on with Jens Lehmann. It would have been fair
and easy for the official to let play continue, count the Barcelona goal, and
play 11-on-11 the rest of the night.

Either way, hats off to Barcelona for winning, and hats off to Arsenal for
competing so fiercely while being a man down all night.
