This is in EFA, although I dont think it matters.
Ive been offered a trade, and I am lost as to how this will effect my budget.
The deal is:
I give 16 M.Williams DF 2.10 1.26PR 4.20 1
and 1.5 Mil for
1532 C.Maguire DF 1.34 0.79PR 2.66 3
My budget right now stands at
Annual budget: $57 million
Expected earnings: $43.93 million
Payroll: $50.10 million (includes $7.18 million from minors)
Salary including up-front bonuses: $50.10 million
$11.46 million under budget, financial outlook: $-6.17
Im trying to figure out if this trade will get my financial outlook out of the
negatives. Any help? How do I figure this out? Sorry to ask questions like
this, Im not very good at math.

Your outlook will change, based on the number of wins you have. The better
your team, the more money you earn. I don't pay too much attention myself to
financial outlook unless its my first season with the team. Once you have
money in the bank so to speak, I just concentrate on building my team.
To answer your question though, I don't believe so.

Well I thought I had figured this deal out, and thought I was going to get my
payroll DOWN, somehow . . . and of course I was wrong.

Red, you traded Williams (2.10 salary + 1.26 bonus = 3.36) and gave up $1.5
cash for a total of 1.86 (3.36 - 1.5) for Maguire (1.34 salary + 0.79 bonus =
2.13). If you would have made the trade without the cash you would have saved
yourself 3.36 - 2.13 = 1.2 million.
One other note about your comments: if you send out a press release every week
you earn $9.1 million (13 weeks * $0.7 million). So if you send out a press
release every week and have an outlook of -$9.1 million you would still break
even.
Send out those press releases.
