I've just got to say something positive! I've been laid up this week after
having knee surgery, and had the opportunity to get on AOL Instant Messenger
and chat with some other DEL Football coaches. Man we have some real quality
guys associated with the DEL and I just want to say I think it's awesome! Just
as an example, I struck a huge trade deal with David Brooks from the CEL
Headkickers and he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met! We both decided not
to make the deal unless we were both completely satisfied! That's a pretty
quality guy! Am I alone? Has anyone else noticed that there are some real
quality people here? I know we like to bicker and argue about how we feel
about this, but I just want to say how much I appreciate the people on this
site!

I just want to list a couple more who have really struck me as quality guys:

dealings with!

I totally feel ya, Randy, pain pills put me in that same happy, giddy mood ;)
no i'm teasing... kind of.
Anyway, yeah i feel like i have a friend or two here. Anybody who has
communicated back and forth with Dale Schaar knows he's a stand-up guy. I'm
not just saying that because he listed me. Brian Dust and Chris Blackman are
two more guys who have been good to me since day 1.
There are a few who aren't as bad as i thought, either. Ok, i don't know AJ,
at all, but when i first started reading his posts on the baseball and general
board, i thought "man this dude gripes a lot". you know how when you dont know
what a person looks like you get this own image in your mind.... ha, i had him
pegged looking like Fred Flintstone. i thought he was just a
blow-hard/complainer. Of course, I dont think that now. anyway, it's not a bad
thing, you cant visualize just anybody. at least people know who you are!
Dale, good-luck down the stretch. I don't like it being this close with only a
handful of games left; but that's what we got. so good-luck!!!

"at all, but when i first started reading his posts on the baseball and general

I used to gripe a whole lot about the SIM when I was newer
I think it goes like this for new guys..
1) hey these games are great
2) wait, that shouldn't happen
write a post saying the SIM's broke
3) Eventually learn
a) you didn't know as much as you thought.
b) oh maybe it is working like I thought?
c) maybe it really is wrong
4) Make a more educated deciscion
The result- you make a more thought out response. Post your issues once......
if no one listens, exploit them for your own glory.

I'll tell a story on dad. My dad is a pretty vocal high school basketball fan.
He also doesn't wear underwear most of the time(I know, too much information)
During one especially close exciting game, dad jumped up when his team made a
basket. Unfortunately his pants fell down to his ankles. Did dad panic? No he
finished cheering the play, then calmly pulled up his pants. My sister, who was
sitting next to him, had to change her name, and move to another state though.

I had talked to Andy about this about a year ago because of my interest in
putting names with faces. But I had an idea of having a DEL Annual Party. How
many of you would be interested in something like that? When I spoke with Andy
he said he had no problem with it and it would be pretty cool to meet some of
you, I think. Respond back if you would be interested and we can put a
committee together to decide on a place and time. If not then FORGET ABOUT IT!
I DIDNT WANT TO MEET ANY OF YOU HOSERS ANYWAYS! (For the canadiens reading)

are using the bathroom!
email me if you want to help out with the planning of DEL 2006, I'm sure Andy

funniest thing-
old girlfriend from Seattle was home with me for Thanksgiving once, local paper
always puts all the kids and their picture with their dead bucks on the front
page..
I thought every paper did that... I thought she was going to puke or cry

his side, big smile...

AJ... I can relate! When I lived in Poland, I once took back a local paper to
show what it was like. The people I worked with were interested in my "roots"

tornado reports made them appreciate me in a whole new manner! :-)
