830 M.Shifflett 193 124 1387 6 1 3 0 0 0 50 163 1079 7.16 WR
Second leading WR in terms of yards and not even a listing? I realize his
numbers arent great (low TDs lowish yards per attempt) But thats a lot of
production not to even get on the ballot. (We lost our #2 guy half way through
the season so the offense was altered to throw the ball to him even more so
that in some ways hurt I guess.)
Another one..
1157 D.Baker 210 132 0 1 0 96 24 4 1082 62.9 OLB
1493 W.Norris 99 65 2 3 2 53 14 3 685 65.7 OLB
Baker is in the top ten in tackles and has 4 INTs with a decent tackle pct and
doesnt get on the ballot. Norris has half as many tackles and does.
I realize that the sim awards production and sometimes those numbers are skewed
based on how many downs a guy plays but to not get on the ballot seem (Baker
and Shifflett) seems harsh.

I had a guy catch 175 passes for 1800+ yards and not make the ballot once...
it's all about average in All-Pro land
even for QB's.... when yards per pass is 90% the reciever in DEL.

I don't think you're going to win too many arguments with Norris beating out
Baker for all-pro.
Norris has a higher tackling percentage, 1 less interception, more sacks, more
TFL's, and 400 less downs played. With tackles the only glaring advantage
Baker has, there is no telling how many Norris could've had if he played a full
season.
Shifflett, I could see a gripe there. However, I'm not certain he would have
been voted for.

I vote for Baker in a heartbeat...
twice as many tackles. It's easier to have a high percentage when you only
play 1/2 the downs and your never tired.
Remember Jesse Tuggle? (or even Sam Mills)
Tuggle was a 6x Pro Bowler, and didn't do really anything special except make
a ton of tackles.

I'd much rather have TFL and sacks than normal tackles. Those don't stop
drives, or win games. I had an All-Pro LB last year with 42 tackles and no
ints (but 10 tfl and 11 sacks).

I see your point..But for Shifflett to not even get on the ballot seems like
the system is a bit flawed. Norris and Baker are a wash really.

I'll never understand how someone who plays 50% of the downs and averages 4
tackles per game can possibly be worthy of an All-Pro nomination.
Norris wouldn't even make my ballot.

The sim doesn't place enough value on absolute production when determining
ballots.
