2 Point Attempts: More
What is the general consensus- I'm a believer anytime a 2 point conversion
will tie the game you do it. Even if it's 1st quarter.
Apparently MORE thinks differently-
Point after attempt.
PAT Good!
Philadelphia Cheesesteaks: 13, Arizona: 14
(especially with how many kicks are missed in DEL)
later that game I missed an XP, and he only needed a FG to tie, luckily we got
the stop.
Question is,- I usually try to avoid MOST settings because they have crazy
effects, however is anyone using 2 points (MOST)? I just want to make sure
it's not trying it every time or something.

Yeah, I run Most for 4th down's and 2 point conversions.
Neither seems to kick in at the right time. I seem to go for it to often on 4th
down on my own side of the field, and I seem to go for 2 point conversions more
when I'm ahead then at any other logical time.
There are some games where I won't even go for it on 4th down and 1 or 2, even
if I'm behind, regardless of quarter. Same goes with 2 point conversions.
It's a tad bit frustrating. :)

My 2-pt conversion is set to Never. To me, it's just not worth it because if
you don't get it, you're chasing points the rest of the game.

going for 2 early in the game is poor coaching. Plain and simple. It's good
that the game doesn't allow you to do it. This isn't small school high school
football where you don't have a kicker.

We miss about 10% or more of our XP's in DEL.
My 2 pt conversion success is over 50%.
Losing by 1 point- I will always go for the tie.
IMO- there is no difference between 14-13 & 14-12.

You must have the worst kickers ever. I have never spent a scholarship
recruiting a kicker and don't think I've missed 10% of PATs.

It always follows "the chart" of when it's smart to go for 2 (e.g. if 2 points
will tie the game).
Most- The whole game.
More- The second half.
Normal- The 4th quarter.
Less- The last X minutes (Imaybe the last half of the 4th Q).
Never- Never.

"I have never spent a scholarship recruiting a kicker and don't think I've
missed 10% of PATs"
do you pay attention? I'm not saying that in a smart way, but do you notice,
the SIM doesn't track it.
He misses at least 4 or 5 this season
T.Perkins PK 30 8 8
and he missed one last game & the game before
W.Murphy PK 32 4 10

Pros may be different, and I'd agree that missed PAT's are more common than in
real life, but in the pros I see maybe 3-4% missed PAT's.
I'd bet in real life it's closer to 1% in the pros (maybe 2-3% in college).
Again, I can't speak for CCEL; but it may well seem like it happens more often
than it does because (a) it is more frequent than real life, and (b) that makes
it all the more frustrating when it happens, so we remember it.

I read every PbP, and even notice that weird stuff, even when it's a lousy
game.
it's a curse

Here is Today's game, like one week after this post-
T.Perkins PK 30 8 8 23 -- ------ B B PK
1st Quarter
Philadelphia Cheesesteaks: 6, Washington Capitals: 7
TD
I say go for TWO- the computer goes for one.
Philadelphia Cheesesteaks: 13, Washington Capitals: 7
----------------------------------
Later that game-
Touchdown!
Point after attempt.
PAT not good.
Philadelphia Cheesesteaks: 19, Washington Capitals: 7
he scores-
Washington Capitals: 13, Philadelphia Cheesesteaks: 19
later for good measure-
Point after attempt.
Offense: 219 Power I, no TE, TB strong sweep
Defense: 236 Tight 5-2, OLBs up, 1-zone coverage, pass stunt
Dengler runs strong sweep.
Hole wide open, Dengler turns corner
Piorkowski (CB ) blocked by Houser (FB ).
Duck (OLB) partially blocked by Rogers (FB ).
2 point conversion good!
Philadelphia Cheesesteaks: 27, Washington Capitals: 13
----------
Just saying- lets not say we don't miss XP's and in DEL it would be nice to go
for two when up by 4,5 or 6.
