Yes, Im leaving Auburn for for Texas A&M. I dont know if comments about "pirate
tactics" and "swagger" were aimed at me, but I thought Id let inquiring minds
know why Im moving.
Plain and simple, it was time for something new. I built Auburn up as far as I
could, with a lot of missteps on the way, and this season I guess we did pretty
good. But I realised this season, standing at the top of the hill (or close to
it) wasnt as much fun as the climb. So, time for me to move elsewhere. Maybe
some of the other schools in the SEC will be able to move up and enjoy some
success.
Thats all there is to it. If anyone wants to read anything more into my
departure, well I guess theres not much I can do about that.

welcome to the big12 South. With Schwartz and you coming in, the days of
seeing Texas Tech regularly at the top of the division are coming to an end.

Oh, just to clarify... I think the 'pirate tactics' was a reference to Captain
Morgan over at SC... not sure that it was warranted on a positive thread
congratulating Alastair for a great season, but that is my guess.

Yeah it was at Morgan and it wasn't meant as derogatory, more of a tongue in
cheek kind of thing addressing AJs diss to the SEC which really wasn't a diss.
Red, you're a great coach that gave a lot of credo to the SEC. I wish you
nothing but luck in your Big 12 move. I apologize if it seemed I was directing
things at you, I wasn't.

Nah. Loren is right. I kinda jumped in and made a positive thread a bit
negative. I thought I was defending the SEC from being looked poorly upon due
to one coaches statements during the season, when in fact I was taking away
from what the NC teams had done during the season.
Plus you don't have a 'pirate swagger', it's more native american ;)
