Hey guys, getting ready for one of the coolest weeks in our lives. WORLD
SERIES week! This year the NSA World Series is actually in our own back
yard...Columbus! Many of you know that Abby and Paige both play travel
softball and this is the week they work for all seasons. This is what is
amazing though, Abby is in the 12U division and there's 73 teams from all over
the country who will be here. Paige is in the 14U division and theres 103
teams in that division...and for Jeff, on team from Canada!! (The Halton Hills
Hawks from Ontario) The 10U and 16U are at the same park (Berliner) in
Columbus, it has over 50 fields...and everyone will be used!! If you ever have
a chance to check something like this out, it is incredible! Paige's team
(Lady Lasers White)has a real shot of doing well, for Abby's team (Ohio Dragons
Black)...thank God it's a 4 game garuantee!! :)
If any of you central Ohio guys want to come check it out, shoot me off and
email and I'll buy you a dumbo ear!!

cool! Wish I could drive up for the week.
Take it easy on those Canadians. I believe Halton Hills is right around the
corner from my house.

Sounds like fun. But 50 softball fields?? Jeez, we can't seem to keep a dozen
or so fields busy here. And the other, smaller, unfenced, barely-tended fields
here are a deterrent.

Thanks AJ, I told Paige. Her team beat the Indy Shox 3-0. Paige had a single,
walk and got plunked! Abby's team lost 5-0 and she went ofer! Off to Paige's
evening game.

Randy, what's a Dumbo Ear? I bet I'd like it if it involves a deep-fryer!

It's some type of deep fried bread with sugar and other toppings, and it's as
big as an elephant ear! It's the BOMB!

Halton Hills 5
Quad City Blast (IL) 4
Halton Hills 9
Finesse (MI) 8
Halton Hill finished first in the pool.
In double elimination play:
Halton Hills 6
Indy Xplosion 5
Halton Hills 3
EP Lady Tigers (MI) 9
Halton Hills 2
Midwest Lady Sluggers (OH) 13
Halton Hills was eliminated. They finshed in the top half of 103 teams...not
too shabby! I heard they were a very good team, but I didn't get to see them
play.
Paige's team was eliminated tonight. They had to play 5 games today and lost
to the Indy Elite 7 - 6 in a unbelievable 7th inning comeback by the Elite.
Paige's team finshed 13th out of 103 teams so it's a pretty good
finish...although I think we had a shot to win it all.
This was our first real exposure to this level of national tournament, and to
see the girls out there playing teams from all around the country was just
awesome. Paige had a great tournament and I'm so proud of her...she was pretty
upset when they lost! She hit almost .600 this week, and was on base just over
.800. I think she did her job! We'll be in Virginia with her team for thier
final tournament of the season...the ASA Eastern National Qualifier. So here's
hoping we finish on a positive note!!

great stuff! Congrats to Paige!
Now could you please have her provide an autograph for uncle Jeff? I have a
feeling it could be worth something some day.
