I can't believe people like the taste of smoke. How about gas, or dirt.. those
are flavors too.
The last time I was near a campfire and the smoke blew in my face, I didn't
think to myself "wow, that taste great".
How did this horrid fad ever become acceptable. It tastes... like well, smoke?

yuck..
it taste like meat with smoke on it.
Can't stand smoked ham, smoked turkey, smoked salmon, smoked ribs...
I just can't believe the taste of smoke, ever became popular.
I know I'm in the minority here, obvious by how difficult it is to find an
unsmoked ham on the holidays.

I'm with you on this, AJ -- smoked flavors stink. You know what pisses me off?
That you can't find honey roasted turkey. You can only find honey roasted
smoked turkey. Why does honey roasted turkey also have to be smoked? Gross!

Try working a bbq/smoke pit. There is NOT a shampoo that takes THAT smell
away. I love the food, but don't like smelling like smoke/bbq sauce all the
time. I took the job becuase, well, I needed one and know the owners. When I
worked there about 12, 13 years ago as a teenager I could stay stoned all day
and nobody ever suspect it, but those were the good ol' days. I can't really
do that thsese days....

I take it you are not a fan of bacon either....
Personally, I like some smoked foods, but not all. Bacon, smoked turkey, I
like those. But, I would much rather have a regular pork chop rather than a
smoked pork chop.

I like bacon, is it smoked? It doesn't taste smokey
There are some foods I can ignore the "smoking" if it's not too strong.
Others, like the ribs my wife was eating last night- flat out tasted like,
well, smoke.
