I saw it on The Daily Show also. My take: there likely really is a Political
Ad awards show (or whatever it's called); the Polly people are arrogant enough
to think that exposure on The Daily Show would be a good thing, that they could
'handle those clowns'; The Daily Show did record some real footage at their
awards show; The Daily Show then edited everything to make the Polly folks look
like idiots/egomaniacs; The Daily Show didn't have to do very much editing at
all.
The best quotes were from the guy who hadn't ever won anything who was calling
all his comrades/competitors hacks. I wonder sometimes if guys like that are
actors, but how hard would it be to find people in this country who are that
arrogant/stupid? Pelosi has sent a memo to House democrats to not appear on
The Colbert Report, since he made them look like idiots every time they
appeared (some still appear, since they actually have a sense of humor). Just
like reality television, why pay actors when you can get real people to be
funny for free?

McCain is on John Stewart tonite.
I've watched him on there before, and he did pretty well. I think you can
learn more about a candidate on Stewart or Colbert in 5 minutes than 1/2 hour
on a real news show with softball questions and scripted answers.
