Talk about going nuts . . .
CCEL and ECHL recruiting going on this week; got to get my EPBL rookie teams
set up; need to put out some PRs for a change . . . and I can't use a mouse!
My right shoulder has been in serious pain most of the week, found out
yesterday I have a damaged rotator cuff. So now my right arm is in a sling and
of course I'm right handed. Tried using the mouse lefty, thats not working too
good. So I'm down to using the lappie mousepad and typing with left hand.
Frustrating beyond belief!!!
Oh well, at least I have lots of time, since I cant go to work . . .

Bummer. Do you need surgery? Either way, watch out for the painkillers. I
broke my wrist two months ago, was in a cast before/after surgery, and am just
now beginning strength training. The good news is I rediscovered that I should
have been left-handed all along. Still doesn't help you open jars or anything
else you need two hands for, but you'll get better at it with practice. Good
luck!

you miss the left too...
after my bloodlclot surgery in February, I'm just now getting some usage from
the hand.
Tieing shoes, doing buttons, uncrinkling money, opening a car door, spanking
your son, pouring something out of a pot- are all things that have made me
swear recently.

Dont know about surgery yet, have to make an appointment Monday to see
orthopedist. Its not certain at this time if its torn or just inflamed. They
did say there was a calcium buildup, meaning this was happening over time.
As for pain killers-dont worry about me! Took a dose of the Percocet last
night, the nausea was worse then the pain LOL. Unless Im in screaming agony,
Ill just drop some Advil.

Saw the ortho today . . .
The good news is, there doesnt appear to be a tear. Bad news is, Im going to be
out of work for a while. Im going to need therapy to get strength back in that
hand-right now I cant lift a loaf of bread.
The doc gave me a shot of cortisone (ewww steroids!) and I can type with both
hands again, as long as I take it easy and rest the bum arm often.
If I finish the course of therapy (4-5 weeks) and still dont have full use of
the arm, they will have to do an MRI.
