A conservative radio host faced daily persecution last year after many
people were "offended" by him calling some girls 'nappy headed hos'. It was in
the news for weeks/months and you couldn't pick up a newspaper without reading
something on the story forever, and still see things about it now and then.

Now, we have liberal radio host calling a presidential candidate (and an ex
candidate) "f-ing whores". That happened over a week ago and not a peep from
the MSM. Not a mention from prominant public figures who whined earlier. I
found out by listening to conservative radio, and even they don't care to talk
about it. Probably because it is such a 'non-issue'. More likely, though, would
be 'why bother'.

What do you call someone/groups who demand a conservative person lose their
livelyhood for name-calling while ignoring the name-calling of a liberal
person?

She was suspended indefinately.

Just like Ann Coulter should have been, when she called John Edwards a faggot.

Who does Coulter work for?

If there's no public outrage, how do you know about it?

" If there's no public outrage, how do you know about it? "

I heard about it on conservative radio in the Bay Area (a full week AFTER
her comments), then flipped it to an Air America station during her time slot,
and the callers and person on were all praising her for being 'the voice' of
liberals. None called for her removal off the air. All (no exceptions) said she
should not have been removed.

Still NOTHING in the press or any other media outlet has mentioned her
removal. I haven't heard of any mass protests condemning her remarks or any
major personalities calling for her to be permanantly removed from the air
waves (like what happened to ole 'whats his name').

and you don't see the difference in attacking politicians vs college students?

or Coulter calling Edwards a Faggot? Last I checked she was still showing up
on Faux.

So the last time, a few goofy liberals got mad, and this time a few goofy
conservatives are mad. Seems about right to me.

Well, this sure did take care of itself:

This is a good test to how partisan someone is. If you think that what Rhodes
said was okay but not what Coulter said, or vice versa, you are not anywhere
near the middle.

Joshua, that makes way too much sense. We tend to frown on those who make
sense, so try to be a little more left wing or right wing. ;)

so Rhodes quit, is off the air. Gone. Over.

Coulter still is on FOX every other night.

yep, that is a darn good measure.

" so Rhodes quit, is off the air. Gone. Over. "

Not gone or over. She's back on air starting Monday. That's quite an equal
punishment. And, where is the media coverage of this? Who was that said there
isn't a media bias? Yeah...right
How about Imus? How long did the furor carry on over his remarks? And for
what reason did it carry on? Right...because liberals didn't like conservative
radio personalities being rude/crude with others. How long did it take for him
to be able to go back on the air? And, to think, many still think he shouldn't
be on the air because of his remarks. I guess everyone should have a different
opinion about him, now. That he should be allowed to say what he wants without
fear of career retribution by those uninvolved in his statements.
BTW, he even apologized to the individuals who he directed his comments at
and still was forced out of his profession. Has Clinton been given an apology?

As usual, the people claiming media bias are they themselves biased and poorly
informed.

First, William, you clearly didn't read the link I posted. She will not be back
on the air.

Second, that link was to a mainstream media source that supposedly isn't
covering the issue.

Third, her comments were not on the air, like Imus' were.

You are mistaking a few loud idiots who wanted Imus off the air for the
majority opinion of some insidious liberal conspiracy.

Date: Sat Apr 12 13:55:35 2008
Sender: Kyle Mayhugh

There was never a public outrage over Imus, in the sense of widespread public
opinion. There were a small portion of loud, partisan idiots who didn't like
Imus and seized on a chance to get him out.

The same thing just happened to Rhodes. I don't see the difference, other than
Rhodes' comments were worse and Imus' were actually on the air.

" First, William, you clearly didn't read the link I posted. She will not be

That's not what this web site says: http://www.novamradio.com/
And, try typing in her web site address; therhandirhodesshow.com and see where
you end up.

So she lost her job and another company picked her up. She still lost her job
over the incident.

A google search on Randi Rhodes finds the story appears in the following
newspapers:

L.A. Times
Denver Post
USA Today
New York Times
Washington Post
Chicago Tribune

I'm sorry if I don't see some vast media conspiracy to hide this story.

Randi Rhodes??

That's hilarious!

DEL RANDY RHODES, WHERE ARE YOU????

" A google search on Randi Rhodes finds the story appears in the following
newspapers: "

Yeah, I googled 'randi rhodes calls clinton whore' and the first paper you
listed that came up was the la times story...on the forth page of google hits.
I googled 'don imus calls basketball team nappy headed hos' and several
major outlets were listed on the first page of hits.

Hmmm, I guess there isn't really a bias. After all, you only have to google
it.

Actually, googling is pretty cool. You can google (for instance;) 'autopsychic'
and my web site comes up #1 {woo hoo!}. Everyone should try it. lol

I always want to tell people that I'm this bodybuilding freak who play semipro
football and starred in college.

But it's not me.

oh my gosh, I thought she said it "on the air."

LOL, conservatives are so desperate to play the victim they are willing to jump
in front of the bullet for Hillary Clinton as long as they can get an
anti-media whine in.

thats crazy.

" Must suck to be William Johnson for that game. "

I went 20+ pages one time and still nothing on me. :( I tried using my
middle name, still no luck. :( Wish I ski'd, at least I could confuse
myself.
