Is becoming more exciting than the actual Olympics.
They should televise this.
They are definately going to have to get more atheltic torch runners, and maybe
give them weapons, to get by all the protestors, obstacles, terrorist threats.
Could be really exciting, sort of like Running Man... or any old 70's Sci-Fi
movie where you have to get from A to B with some cure for whatever disease
while mutants, monsters and bad guys try to stop you.

I suppose they should make an Olympic event out of trying to evade the hundreds
of guards and get to the torch with a fire extinguisher before getting tackled.
Kind of like Break Thorough and Conquer, the old American Gladiators event (is
that in the new one?).

either way... it's high end excitement.
I'm not a huge fan of political statements being tied to the Olympics, so I saw
it from the runners view.

I feel a little bad for the runners, but not really. From this point on, anyone
who carries the torch has to be aware of whats in store . . . unless they live
in China, where they arent allowed to see real news.
AJ, unfortunately the Olympics have become political, as well as being
profit-driven. Anyone who thinks they aren't, please pick up your "You're A
Winner" youth soccer trophy as you exit the cave you've been living in.
Finally- the worse the Chinese look, the happier I feel! The IOC should be
ashamed of themselves for allowing China to host the olympics. I personally
plan to boycott the games, which is no big deal considering I have no interest
in watching sports when I already know the result.
Here's a thought: let China host all the fake "judged" sports like gymnastics,
and hold all the real sports in a country that doesnt treat their people like
slaves. Fake sports belong in a place where they spraypaint pavement to make it
look like grass.
