"Driving uses only one player's skills; the odds of success are related to the
player's passing and aggressiveness"

When a player is driving to the hoop, does that also factor in scoring?

I'm guessing passing represents all ball handling skills? Sort of trying to
figure out why if I have an aggressive good inside scorer he would need a high
pass to create his own shots?

I always translate "passing" into "ballhandling". I dont know if this is
accurate, but it seems to me that the players with lower passing skills will
not only make bad passes more often, but will also mishandle passes they
recieve more often, and will also lose the ball more often when driving . . .

I was thinking, there are plenty of guys who can do one or the other....

Kind of unhappy it seems were drawing passing and driving skill from the same
ability set.

I may be wrong but I believe aggression also plays a part in it.

According to my reading of the Help Pages, ballhandling is affected by the
following:

Passing (Passer)-Ps and In

Passing (Reciever)-Ps, In and Ag (and Ht for players in the paint)

Driving- Ps, Ag

There are two actions here.

1. Driving to the hoop - Ps and Ag
This effects how likely the player is to drive inside and not
have the ball stripped from him (or just to lose the handle on
the ball).

2. Putting in the basket - this uses the normal set of ratings for any player
attempting to score on the inside.

The player must actually GET to the basket before he can insert the ball
through the rim.

whoops. I meant to copy and paste that to the "attacking the basket" thread.
