What is the maximum amount of players that can be redshirted?
If a player with a scholarship is cut, does that allow for another scholarship
in the current year or following year?

You cannot cut scholarship players, when they are given out they have them
until they graduate.
You need to have two non redshirted players at each position.

If you are planning on moving up to the next tier as fast as possible, and
players you are thinking of redshirting are as good or better than the ones who
will be playing, then you gain little by redshirting them.
It is unadvisable to only go with a 10-player rotation, even if injuries are
not a factor, unless everyone has very high stamina (which is highly unlikely).
We all know that the real-world uses rotations of like 8-9 players max, but
that isn't optimum in DEL.
