Is there a way to set whether a guard drives more versus shooting jump shots
more?
Also, since there's no "speed" attribute, which skill would best describe the
ability for a guy to explode to the basket (like Kobe or MJ, for example)? My
guess it's some combination of scoring and aggression.
Also also, let's say that I set my power forward's range to PG -- does that
just open the door for him to shoot outside if he's open, or does it predispose
him to shoot from outside?

Chris... passing and aggression is the explode the basket factor. Intelligence
is doing it in the right situations.
To have a point guard drive, simply set his shooting distance to C or PF. Play
a lower motion offense. Presto.
I did this in the CBA and my guard scored 23 PPG, shot 46% and lead the league
in fouls drawn. However, he turned the ball over a lot too. That being said I
think the turnovers were inflated for this reason... on a drive the turnover
will only go to the person driving, but on a pass the turnover can be charged
to either the passer or the guy catching the pass. Thus, a team with a driving
point guard will have PGs with more turnovers, but forwards with less, as
compared to a motion team.
At least that's my educated guess.
