When I traded for this guy, I checked his contract and he was willing to
re-sign with his old team. After trade was run, I was planning to sign him to a
longer-term contract, and suprise!

It seems like good players never want to re-sign with me. Even guys that I have
vastly overpaid (IMO) hit the road when their contract is up. Is it my team? Is
it just the way the sim is? This is a facet of the basketball sim I've never
been able to see any logic or consistency to.

What is your chemistry?

The higher your chem - the more likely (and cheaper) they are to re-sign.

Are you serious? That would certainly explain it, my team chemistry has always
been poor . . .

Interesting...I never knew this either. Is this in the Help pages somewhere or
how did you learn this?

Thanks for the info.

I learn it from spending way too much time playing Del.
Teams with good chemistry might have only a singe player that will not resign.

So chemistry isnt quite so overrated as some people think.

Next question would be, obviously, how do you get your chemistry to improve?
Logic would say, it would require keeping your team together for several
seasons . . . which is hard to do when people wont re-sign.

Also, for future references, if you want to resign a player when you trade for
him. Get the coach you are making the trade with sign him for you and then do
the deal.

Also - signing rookies doesn't hurt chemistry much.
And you can sign longer contracts off the WW.

I see some catchers stock up on minor league losers. Then they pay for it with
chemistry hits. I am hoping to have a BEL team with moderate chemistry by the
end of the season. (Detroit)
