P.Fox PG 27 11 1 5 3 11 3 11 22 100 6'10"
I'm trying Fox at point guard to switch things up a bit. He's just so freakish
that I couldn't help but give it a try.
The plan is to use him as a penetrating guard. With that in mind, how do you
think he'll do? What sort of numbers can he attain at point guard? Think I can
compensate for his defense or is he going to kill me? Where would you play him?

I think he'll be a scoring freak at any position you play him except maybe SG.
He definately got the passing to be a PG but I think his 3 INT and 1 D will get
you into trouble when he's match up against either another slasher or a solid
defender. He might do well defending the perimeter shooting cause of his
height. I think the best position for him is at PF as a backup where he can
come in and get opposing bigs into foul trouble.

Here's an update of how he's done in 6 preseason games:
26 minutes per game
24 points per game
3.8 assists per game
5.2 turnovers per game
8.2 FTA per game
+.16 (5th best on team)
53% FG%
His scoring has been fantastic (24 PPG on 53% shooting). I also love how often
he gets to the line (more than double anyone else on the roster). His turnovers
are a bit of a concern, as he's among the league leaders in that department.
The low assists is hardly a surprise given how many shots he's taken.
The biggest concern has been the defense. I've tried hiding him against the
worst scorers regardless of position. One game I put him on a center that
couldn't score, and the center went off for 22 rebounds!
Anyhow, I'll play with it a bit more and see what happens.

Season:
26 minutes per game (15 games)
23 points per game
48% shooting percentage
2.5 assists per game, 4.5 turnovers
+.38/ minute (3rd on team)

He did pretty good today against my boys:
26pts, 5rebs, 4blks, 1stl and 4ast. Of course he did have 7TOs. If you can
stomach the turnovers he's probably ok at the point.

Yeah he turns the ball over quite a bit... about 5 per game.
The good news is he's averaging 24 points per game (second in the league) and
he's shooting 47%. Best of all he gets to the line more than anyone in the
league (316 attempts... #1 in the league).
Overall I think the experiment is working okay. He's got the best +/- of the
point guards, so he doesn't appear to be hurting me too much when he's on the
court.
