There is NOTHING more frustrating then having your season derailed by a bad
road trip. And trust me, there are tons of things in the basketball sim that
raise my blood pressure. Personally I think the home court advantage is too
strong, especially for Bob teams at home. However, that is, what it is.
What Im wondering is:
a) How can I stop these killer stretches when my team goes 5,6,7 minutes
without scoring a point? I have bench usage set to '5' almost universally, but
the dang AI decides to do NOTHING.
b) I have tried having a "home" gameplan and a "road" gameplan in the past
without much success. Logic says, at home you should go inside and draw fouls,
while on the road you should just take whatever shots the opponent gives you,
since you miss so many free throws on the road. Anyone ever try this and have
any luck with it?

No, primarily because I don't think the sim cares if you are home or not while
shooting from the charity stripe.

Ha Ha!
Errr I hope you are kidding . . . free throw % seems to be the primary
manifestation of home court advantage. That, and the number of offensive or
loose ball fouls you get called for.
