The West Virginia game doesn't mean anything I didn't have my lineup right for
that game or my offensive or defensive gameplans. The only thing I do all week
is study which team I am playing next because I am really dedicated to this
team that is until I become the head coach at Duke.

so far hopefully we will be 3-1 after we beat Marshall today but for that to
happen my super freshman A. kirby will have to come up big. Plus I have at
least 3 other players that could be All-Confrence selections at year's end.

I'm not usually one to jump in on these types of threads; but, I found thost
two statements somewhat curious since they came from the same person.
To the point of the thread, I built up a pretty good Long Island team in the
Northeast Conference. I took it over when it was rated 2nd from the bottom in
talent rarely had scholarships for recruiting (I kept awarding them to
walkons). My goal when I took over the team was to get them to the CBEL
Tourney and I finally made it in my 4th season. That team was pretty talented
for Tier III; but, I really wasn't much of a threat to the competition in the
tourney.
You'll get smoked in the first round unless you stay at Holy Cross for umpteen
seasons to max out your prestige and then get some lucky bounces.

about did you actually recruit?
ZERO. Z = Zero.
Maybe for your next coach name you could go with Coach Zero?
And considering that there's 3-4 other human-coached teams in the Patriot
League (who you slammed all of them last night in your PR), I doubt you can win
the conference.

FYI, Coach "Kid" (aka "Andy Hale") is the same guy who took over Dallas Baptist
(CMEL) during the off-season, arranged a tough schedule against several Tier 1
schools, promised to take the DB Patriots to the College World Series THIS
YEAR, and then jumped ship to UC Davis prior to the first non-conference game!
(After the initial week of play, Dallas Baptist is 1-9.)
Actually, I think that the West Coast Boaster is pretty entertaining, in an
Andy of Mayberry sort of way!
But personally, KID, I think that you should quit stealing the green beer from
the Notre Dame icebox and go cold turkey on the second-hand hallucinogenic
smoke from the magic leprechaun's pipe!
BTW, today's score was: Marshall 84, Holy Cross-Eyes 65.

Marshall is ranked #52 or #58 so I thought we had a decent shot to win but we
were 22.5 pt. underdogs. Our next game is agains BYU I forget what the line is
but we have a pretty good shot at a top 25 upset. I just don't see anyway us
losing the Patriot League championship that's how much better we are than the
rest of the teams.

To Coach Kidd or whoever you end up being...its great that you are so enthused
about your team. Having new (or old) players in cbel is great...especially
those that can get a reaction out of others. When I started out at
Northeastern I had a team that I really liked and so I stayed for 3 seasons.
We went 16-17 and lost in the first round of the DIT in my first year. Season
2 we went 25-10 (ranked #47), received a very rare (for a tier 3) CBEL at large
bid and upset Houston before losing in the second round. Final year went 27-7
(ranked #38), won the auto bid and lost in the first round to Oregon who went
to the Elite 8. I know you are excited about your PG recruit who appears to be
a very good player and I also like your SG for your level. However...your team
is ranked #3 in talent in your league (not "by far the most talent team"). You
can not score in the post and your talent rating at center and PF are not good
compared to the rest of your league. You have basically no chance to compete
at the national level...just being honest. Holy Cross is ranked #211 in talent
while the worst team in the Big East is #137. More than half of our league
will not make the CBEL Tournament. Neither will you. Oh...and by the way...my
Northeastern team would have crushed you! :)
