Troyer was a bit of a ball hog there...It seemed to be like a 5 on 1 game...

he was, but he shot great up to then.

The guy that hit the two threes was 1 of 5 at that point.

I had 12 steals in the first 30 minutes
  - only 1 in the final 10

Troyer only turned the ball over twice prior to the final 5 or 6 minutes...
then he turned it over 2 more times.

I've had good seasons and bad, I've read over 600 PbP's.... I am 100% convinced
their is something built in that helps the favorites in these situations.

I know this season vs San Diego State we did something I've never seen before
in readinga LOT of pbps

At the end of the first half we hit a half courter...
At the end of the game, down 1, we hit another half courter. I havent seen a
team hit 2 half courters in a game before

We seem to be pretty clutch this season, although we did lose 2 at the buzzer
in a row earlier this season (UMass, Colorado state)

Aj...I think the main problem you had with Troyer is that he just is not suited
to play PG. He is 6' 9" whch might work in Pro but is a bit big for college
ball, plus his intel is only 3. You have been trying to make him do things
that he just isn't physically or mentally capable of doing as evidenced by the
amount of his turnovers. He just is too big to be a driving PG...now if his
intel were 7 or 8.....MAYBEE he might be more productive. I would play him at
his natural position at PF. He would be a socring machine. I think the
simulation has been right on with him....just my 2 cents worth.

Bill,

I appreciate the input. I started him at PF this season, and maybe I will try
next season. It's just I'm not sure if anyone can drive the hoop.

I guess I got really frustrated the past two seasons because I pretty much
built the team I wanted too... and they didn't perform like I thought they
should.

I didn't realize you can't get any real isolation, and I couldn't understand
why a shot at the basket would be such a low percentage shot.

In the end, the SIM ain't changing...so I should probably just deal with it
like I do in other sports.

I have to chip in to agree with AJ on this. My biggest frustration with the
basketball sim is that there seems to be ONE way that works, and thats all.
High Motion and matchup zoneare the only answers, no matter what the question
is. There is no reward for trying to innovate, in fact there seems to be a
penalty for anyone who trys anything different.

Which means, the only thing that matters is your Talent Level. Which in turn
means, a coach can show up for Day One of recruiting, then set things on
autopilot for the rest of the season . . .
