Do players develop differently in the EBPL?

Thompson, from Houston, as an example: it stuns me a 23 y.o. with 2 Co exists.

Do such players serve as roster filler, or is there a chance they'll actually
turn into someone who can hit?

Thompson may be extreme, but I've seen plenty of 23-25 y.o. with junky contact,
and wonder what type of future they have.

He'll probably end up a crap player that is a fill in on a minor league
roster-A or low A. I've only seen one player with low numbers do anything,
that was a aguy a few seasons ago-I think he played for Toronto, that had
amazing speed but was like a 5 or 6 contact. Batted like .340 or so, look in
the archives and you'll find him. He was a one season wonder though.

If a player has a high enough Ds and good fielding, they have a chance to play
for the Brewers with a 6 contact. I'll take walk machines when I can find
them.

In fact, just traded for one today in C J.Kelley.
